Dr John O'Dwyer

Dr O'Dwyer qualified from the Royal College of Surgeons in 2001. After qualification he worked in a broad range of specialties including Cardiology, Endocrinology, Neurology, Dermatology, Emergency Medicine, Psychiatry & Care of the Elderly. He then worked in Temple St Children's Hospital before completing his GP training in Edinburgh.
Dr O’Dwyer is a GP Trainer with the North Dublin City GP Training Programme. In 2018 he was appointed as a CME Tutor with the Irish College of General Practitioners.
Dr Fionnuala Joyce
MB BCh BAO MICGP DCH DipOccMed CFP
Dr Joyce qualified from Trinity College in 1999 and completed her postgraduate GP training in Ireland. In 2003 she moved to Oxford in the UK and worked as a GP there for 6 years.Whilst in Oxford she also worked on the doctor team of Helen House Children's Hospice and gained a lot of experience in palliative care.
She has a special interest in Women’s Health, Contraception and Menopause management and also teaches insertion of long acting contraceptives to other doctors.
She has trained in medicine, paediatrics, psychiatry, emergency medicine, gynaecology and family planning. She has also completed diplomas in Child Health and Occupational Medicine.
Dr David O'Connell
MA MB BCH BAO MICGP, Diploma in Dermatology
Dr O'Connell studied humanities at Trinity College Dublin and medicine at the RCSI before completing his training in general practice in 2009.
Dr O'Connell has a special interest in Dermatology and skin surgery.
He regularly performs skin excisions, joint injections and cryosurgery. Specialist treatment for both acne and problematic viral warts are also available.
Dr Sarah O’Connell
MB BCh BAO MICGP DCH
Dr Sarah O'Connell studied medicine at the University of Aberdeen in Scotland. She worked as a junior doctor in Scotland, New Zealand and Australia, primarily in the areas of Paediatrics and Emergency Medicine, before returning home to Ireland and embarking on specialist training in General Practice.
During her training she gained further experience in family planning, women's health, psychiatry and medicine for the elderly. She became a member of the Irish College of General Practitioners in 2010 in addition to obtaining diplomas in Child Health, Psychiatry and Dermatology.
Dr Aoife Bourke
Dr Aoife Bourke graduated from RCSI in 2017. After qualifying she moved to Melbourne, Australia, for 2 years to work with Monash Health across a range of medical and surgical specialties.
She returned to Ireland in 2020 and completed Basic Specialist Training in Medicine through the Mater Hospital and gained membership to the Royal College of Physicians.
She started her General Practice Training in July 2023 with the North Dublin City GP training Scheme. She gained further experience in paediatrics, psychiatry, palliative care and emergency medicine before coming to work here in Edenpark.
Dr Cian Leahy
Dr. Cian Leahy graduated from UCD in 2018. After qualifying he worked an array of roles in Emergency Medicine and Paediatrics before starting with the North Dublin GP Training Scheme in 2021.
He has a special interest in Paediatrics and has completed his exams to be a Member of the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland in Paediatrics, along with diplomas in Women’s Health, and in Tropical Medicine.
He most recently worked in a practice in Finglas before coming to work here in Edenpark Medical.
