Pregnancy is usually a very exciting time in people's lives but it can also present lots of new challenges, both physically and emotionally.
Most people who are newly pregnant opt for shared care with us which means their care is shared between one’s GP and their hospital of choice, or their community midwife. The schedule of visits can vary slightly from person to person, but the table below gives an idea of the usual visit schedule.
It is important to sign a shared care form after your first visit so that your care is free with us until you and your baby’s 6 week check is completed.
